I'm not so sure it will be that easy - he is a master at manipulating the unwashed's emotions. www.dubyaspeak.com

Very cool site - I don't know how I missed it! Thanks for the link. And yeah, it won't be easy - I come from a very conservative town and even though all this anti-conservative stuff is coming thru (huge increases to the government, support of the NEA, etc.) they just seem to be blind to that and just love all the great anti-terrorism stuff Bush is doing (what that would actually be is beyond me but supposedly I'm blinded by my knee-jerk hate of the Presidunt).

That will probably be easier to do now. Before if you said anything against Bush and Company you where unAmerican; a terrorist lovin' traitor. Now with the War, the stock market/CEO scandals, the deficit and Bush promising loads of cash to everyone (trips to Mars, the NEA, hydrogen power, AND tax cuts), it will be easier even for the Great Unwashed Public to understand what a liar he is. And if worse comes to worse I think Dean can spontainously combust after another 'unpresidential' rant Actually, I saw Dean give a speech today (he had a convention in Spokane, where I live), and he seemed very articulate and well-spoken. Later, I saw a video clip on the news from his speech of him saying something taken completely out of context, which of course made him look like a red-faced maniac, as usual. Never mind his statement that the president is taking the federal deficit to its highest in history, no, Dean raised his VOICE a little bit! How UNPRESIDENTIAL! I just can't VOTE for someone that is actually passionate about what he believes in, am I right? I admire Dean mostly because he doesn't equivocate and bullshit us about what he stands for, he just says what he thinks. Say what you want about his policies, but at least he gives a shit.

The other thing to think about is whether or not we're better off voting for the guy that in the polls can beat Bush?

The other thing to think about is whether or not we're better off voting for the guy that in the polls can beat Bush? Anyone who was supporting Dean a week before the Iowa caucus knows exactly how much value polls have. It's way too early to take seriously a poll that pits democratic hopefuls against Bush. Don't let that influence your choice. Then again, I think polls are evil, in general. It encourages herd mentality and gives the press something to talk about when there's nothing to talk about. But people want them. I think we should conduct a poll on whether polls are overused.

Now that Kerry is top dog - I guess we can bore Bush out of office. No raised voices. No 'kooky' ideas. Just nice and mellow and monotone and blah. Like oatmeal and cottage cheese.
He says some of the right things, but for a raving liberal he failed when he should have stood up for his beliefs.
I'm a Dean supporter too, and just for the same reason - he seems to give a shit.
For all this; Kerry might be able to beat Bush (but I doubt it). Better off? Probably in almost all sections (unless you own a huge multinational corp).

I saw Dean speak at my college, and I, uh, daydreamed through most of it. Then again, I'm pretty bad when it comes to following politics.

However, I also think that a long, drawn out process like our primary system drains resources and our ability to focus on Bush, as we're too busy focusing on each other. I hate polls and the primary system. Go back to an old party caucus, I say.

I agree that poles are evil. What's wrong with people from Poland?
