heh, ain't that the truth
25%? I think you're giving them too much credit, I don't believe any of it, unless I have researched it myself or heard it from a reliable source (ie. not the government).
I suppose, there would be more people above the poverty line, hence more people to complain, hence the USA would get an even worse image.
Damn, what ever happened to the days when people violently disagreed with me? Bring on a hardcore repulblican....

LOL well believe it or not I am a consevative. Thing is I'm an independent as well The Republican party gave up conservatism with the departure of Reagan and I helsd my nose for 2 more elections and voted republican but that was it I will never vote for them again!!
Well I do research on line. Check standard as well as different sources for news. It is amazing how much both major parties are going to the center.

I can tentatively agree with that - but don't forget that parties don't care about ideology anymore....they care about getting votes. It USED to be you voted for the man the party chose, based on the ideology he had...now? Now they create their own personal ideology they think we'll vote for.
It's disgusting, really.

As well as, statistically, almost nobody that declined to vote. I saw a poll the other day that said if Bush vs. Kerry happened tomorrow, Kerry would have a 48-46 edge. The poll, however, had a 3% error. The Republicans are holding their convention in NYC, to coincide with the anniversity of the Twin Towers Tradgedy. Bush will wave the flag and talk about 9/11. I hope some New Yorkers make a big stink about how Bush told them their air was just fine when it was chock-full of ash following the attacks. Then maybe we'll have a chance of getting that nut out of office.

I just wish that someone would stand up and tell him to stop exploiting the memories of those who died, just to further his own political career.

We need more hardcore activists, like we did during Vietnam. You know, like the ones who would set themselves on fire.
We need more fire.

I just wish that someone would stand up and tell him to stop exploiting the memories of those who died, just to further his own political career. That will probably be easier to do now. Before if you said anything against Bush and Company you where unAmerican; a terrorist lovin' traitor. Now with the War, the stock market/CEO scandals, the deficit and Bush promising loads of cash to everyone (trips to Mars, the NEA, hydrogen power, AND tax cuts), it will be easier even for the Great Unwashed Public to understand what a liar he is. And if worse comes to worse I think Dean can spontainously combust after another 'unpresidential' rant
