Damning doesn't make it conclusive. Again, its all circumstantial. An IP from the general area where one lives and a rather uninspired palindrome would get you laughed out of any Crown Prosecutor's office. I suggest you dig a little harder before you try to make this your case. Is there counterevidence, such as the identity of Sir Paul's UN nation? |

Burden of proof lies with the accusers.
However, it is the habbit of those in our region with percieved power (The North Pacific), to condemn members based on circumstantial evidence.
This is not the North Pacific, do not presume that the standards of the NP, or lack thereof, are applicable in The Pacific.

Yes where is the counter evidence. We can then check the IPs. Who are you to walk into the Halls of the NPO and demand evidence that jurisprudence dictates you must supply? We are sovereign and not subject to your demands. If you have proof supply it, its not up to us to prove our innocence. What galls me particularily is that the NP consistently has been aggressive, rebuffed any official attempt at contact and openly plotted to attack us. Where is our justice? Where were your screams of indignation? The elected delegate of that region saw the order and stability of the NPO ideal and chose to employ it. Given they were constantly plotting to overthrow us here I can't say as I don't welcome the radical change. I would love to go and answer questions but I am not a Senator and Franco has not charged me to be the voice of the NPO. I can assure you it is being discussed who will go to meet your Inquisition. |

With respect to the Delegate and Ambassador of the Meritocracy.
let's put it this way:
If all of the sudden I transfered my UN membership to one of my puppets here, and through some hard work, stealth and luck managed to usurp Francos position. Once done I said a number of very nice things for a few days built up a sense of trust and security then late one night close to the update I ejected all of the NPO supporters, placed them on a ban list and joined the ADN.
In a nutshell that is what UPS/Sir Paul did to the NP, he did not have a mandate to do so and we have the right to overthrow him. We also have the right to initiate hostilities against The Pacific for it's role in this debacle. We have chosen the first option for now, in my mind & with my present feelings, this isn't an either/or scenario.

Ok, I dont want to play devils advocate here but I have read teh Proofs as to UPS and SIr Pauls ties, I would like to post this. the City of bakersfield Statisticsnow as I see it, there are 247,057 people in Bakersfield, Large enough for a Country Music song to be written about it. And of those in Bakersfield, a pile are possibly on that ISP, that would be like saying Im the only person in my town to play the game, Heck I know of a dude in the EP who lives probably a mile from me, and the founder of Itlay lives next door. this is just an observation, I will also state that how much better is teh NP off as a ADN serf, than as a member of the NPO, or even as an independent. you may now resume your flamewar. |

also on the ISP part, a large ISP will assign a new IP ocassionally to users, therefore it is theoretical that IP's will overlap, especially if they live in close neighborhoods, or if they live anywhere within a certain area that the ISP rotates IP's,

Hello all, and Hail Francos!
I've actually been having trouble getting my password from this site, and have been dealing with some RL emergencies (good timing). Well, I thought this would be a good place and time to let everyone know what is happening, and why it has happened.
6 months ago, I was born in the scenic North Pacific, and found the ideals of freedom that they had there wonderful. I knew that the NPO was the quintessential of evil (taught to me by certain members of power) and thus, I joined the army (NPA) to help overthrow this empire.
Upon achieving the delegacy by majority vote, I was given access to the back door of the North Pacific, and found what it took to keep utopia going. Nations that endorsed me and not the competition (Magicality) were asked to join the army, or were asked to leave the region via recruitment telegrams. They were actually willing to thwart democracy and remove active players from the region just because they supported me.
The deeper I dug in their forums, the worse it became. There was also dis-unity and infighting on the forums and in the leadership. They insisted that everything was open, but there were secrets and threats everywhere.
There was a point where I was 4 endorsements away from Magicality, (before I knew about all of this) and I did not overtake her, (at the request of Thel Dran). If I was NPO, why would I have not summed the Red army of USSR or ask for help? Or endorsement gather while Magicality was inactive for a month (medical leave, our prayers are with her)? I only took the delegacy after I was given the thumbs up by the NP clique.
My eyes were opened, and I tried to unite the region through various civil projects (elections, army recruitment, debates, fight the NPO). Nem and I hatched a plan to attack the Pacific with an olive branch, but when I started talking with the "tyrant," I found something the North Pacific was missing...
Peace, Strength, Prosperity.
Here, there was no hate or war or backstabbing behind closed doors. All done was in the open, and compared to the NP, it wasn't bad at all.
I come here, freeing the NP from itself. No longer will we be ADN lapdogs. We shall be a strong, free people, free from hypocrisy.
By the way, Loop, Greater Bakersfield has 550,000 people living in it, and many songs/movies have references to us.

WRT UPS Rails Identity: Lots of people reside in Bakersfield, however it it would be quite extraordinary for two persons from that area to speak in a similar tone and make statements nearly verbatim.
The following has been posted on the NP Regional HQ:
Since AP, given its current situation, does not believe in indictment by IP address, The Empire did some reconnaissance work. Comparing the tone and content of statements made by Sir Paul and UPS Rail.
By doing so, AP made several discoveries of similar tone & content.
For Example:
From Sir Paul, I) What is NationStates / the Pacific / NPO?
1) NationStates – Marketing gone wrong. Paragraph 2:
Since nations can’t directly invade each other, to fulfill this primal need, some role play (RP) scenarios, where they use their nation’s stats to build armies, and then launch millions of nuclear war heads at each other from their orbital space platforms.
From UPS, poster whoring excercise: I was not into that role playing aspect, I am going to launch millions of nuclear war heads at you from my orbital space platforms.
This, coupled with the illegal activity of IP Stalking, is enough to convince AP that they are one in the same. Please remove all references to this person's IP address. Such references are an invasion of privacy. Disclosure without due cause is prohibited. (A game is not due Cause)
Whether or not The North Pacific will be free upon the removal of UPS, or was ever free for that matter, is still up for debate.
The Oligarchy removed from power is the most vocal opponent of UPS Rail, and is seeking quick re-ascension to power.
