It should be noted that I have joined the diplomatic corps at the Meritocracy, so I think I can officially speak for the Senate here. I think.

Ambassador Suukyi,
You'll have to forgive me for the time it took for me to get around to officially recognizing this Embassy. It is the first Embassy after all. Yes, this thread is now technically New Meritocratic soil.

In fact were I to follow your example perhaps some of the treatment afforded me in various debates might have been different. You get a lot done and people do respect you for it my Senatrix incarnation of Teddy Roosevelt....... ;D <You've arrived just in time for tea, Chinese Oolong, "first price" qaulity. Please join me. *Hands you a small ceramic handleless tea cup.*> Good to see you again my Meritocratic wife and consort. Daedalus

I am not a bully, more a bullyress ;D *sits down and takes the cup, taking a small sip* and besides I have yet to really hit anyone with it, although I have been tempeted and I am glad that I get to carry it around in these mini. halls of the Senate. As to the naysayers, well let's just say that is not right and people that closed minded should not be in Diplomatic Relations with anyone.

I see you have sampled some of the out-takes <?> My sentiments as well. With the new limits on my time and having to choose tasks carefully, getting into "discussions" which are as productive as nailing custard to the wall with my forehead are no longer priorities. There were no "winning" outcomes possible and I have better things to do like not neglect my work here. One thing is for certain, the hand of time will do what my inconsistent powers of pursuasion have not done, and that is to highlight the growing numbers of people and regions who undertake projects such as this and come to a more accurate understanding how things really are based on their first person experience. <Recharges the tea brewer with hot water and refills your cup.> And that in retrospect, will make all the trials worthwhile. Oh, and I believe the Good Governor Abysseria was using one of "Teddy's" favourite expressions which was "Bully!" or in current slang "Tight!, Sweet!, Cool!" ;D Have a great afternoon Milady! <Discrete kiss and departure.> Daedalus

;D man I wanted him to tell me......but like whatever and yes I know the term, why do you think I carry the slugger to start out with? where do you think I got the idea? "Walk softly and carry a big stick......." ring a bell anyone ;D I have not read all the arguments with them, but rest assured when time allows I will do so then some people we know, just might find themeselves with blistering ear.......... *sips somemore of the tea, and watches after Daedalus* See you later my Darlin', take care and stay safe.

Greetings to all Pacificans and to the growing contingent of ambassadors, envoys and diplomats now engaged in their own ground truth surveys of the Pacific region, its government and people.
I wish to express the most sincere happiness that so many now have undertaken similar missions and updated their impressions and information accordingly.
I worried not, that once undertaken, such missions would produce results not too dissimilar to my own. Embracing the unknown and exploring that which has been feared are hallmarks of vibrant and forward thinking regions. That Queen Lady Rebels had this within her character is no surprise to me. That she has succeeded in unifying her people in outreach and engagement is testimony to her abilities as a diplomat. The effort is now self sustaining and needs no support from me to survive though as long as I am able to participate here, that support will continue to be forthcoming. Indeed, a truly worthy venture should continue to thrive without its original sponsors.
I also commend delegates Norion and One Infinite Loop for their openness and willingness to engage the Pacific.
It would appear that there is no single ideology in Nation States that can be judged to be the "best" one in practice and the one that may evolve into that role will succeed by drawing out and incorporating into itself, the best elements of all the others. To hold tenaciously to a single viewpoint and hold out on a platform of "moral righteousness" as well as wage wars based in ideological differences is foolhardy, divisive and puts a region on the fast track to devolution. We do not have to completely agree or bring our respective ideologies into a median alignment, but only to respect one another and realize that there is some "good" within the worst of us, however asymtotic a challenge reaching that "good" may be, as well as some "bad" within the best of us which justifies the interaction as well as the quest to always be better than before.
There are several other players of note within this Saga and I believe we all know who they are. (I would not dare post a list and take the chance of overlooking even one right now as all have risen to the challenge with honour.) All of you have acted bravely, astutely, and responsibly, for the most challenging of all diplomatic acts is to return to a contentious dialogue with one's own people for having engaged in something risky and controversial.
I foresee a day when an alliance of all Pacific regions and in concert with our own illustrious Meritocracy will advance together into the barbarian hinterland of all "outer" Nation States, not as conquistadors but envoys of enlightenment bringing forth a much higher order of civilization and of intellectual exchange.
(Suu Kyi) Daedalus
