Are you suggesting Francos Spain is Savage Lands? Hah, that'd be a pisser. Or maybe, FS is at SLR's wedding. Maybe he's the best freaking man. Reminds me of the Simpsons Halloween episode where Lisa creates life, and the civilization that arises sees Bart as the devil. The punchline is when Lisa tells her civilization that the devil is her brother

I hadn't thought of that, but that would be a bigger shocker. Maybe they're brothers-in-law or something now. Savage was just paying the bride price .

That would be too weird for me if it just happened to turn out that way.

Yeah, but, they aren't. (Or at least, their IP addresses are radically different .) Oh, and, Savage should be married by now... several days ago in fact. I haven't seen him online at all. As for Francos, well I'm sure he doesn't have any kind of life outside nationstates at all... it's just not allowed

Perhaps Corinthe is Francos' little sister?

I love the fact that our need for security and stability turns us all into paranoid conspiracy theorists. FS took advantage of SLR's desire to gain power for himself. That's all

The concern I would raise about the whole episode with SLR & the SP is that it leaves FS and thus the NPO open to criticism regarding the nature of the power grab. It's recruitment fodder for the anti-NPO forces. I'd still like to see a statement from the government, even if it is spin - I think failure to address this makes the NPO vulnerable. Just my two cents. I don't want to see this become a factor later on down the line.

It is a very valid point, lactating.
On other news, has anyone noticed Posk has lost some endorsements? Is this the sign of Francos' return?

I would like to apologize for my absense of late. The spring semester has hit Franco rather hard. In fact, he's now so detached that he talks of himself in the third person.
Actually, I will indeed have to devote slightly more of my time to scholastic endeavors for the duration of the semester, so I apologize if I have a short drought here and there or fail to post issues for the NPO puppet (which I've really neglected lately.)
Back onto the topic of this thread... While I am rather ashamed to have acted against a region with whom we were in the midst of having peace proposals with, the doomed excursion in the South Pacific had unfortunately already gotten under way by the time the diplomatic channels were being opened. It should be noted that at the time, our two regions were in an open state of war with one another. Perhaps it should have been aborted when the possibilty of peace arose, but it is not every day that one's arch-nemesis defects and offers such substantial service, and I suppose I let it get the better of me.
At the very least though, despite the fact that this attempt was not successful, it should demonstrate to our foes abroad that the NPO will no longer be taking it on the backside, as in the past. We have grown to a point where we are strong enough to fight our enemies on their own soil, and thus bear the ability to punish those who violently oppose us and attempt to intervene in our affairs for their own gain. We are past the days of fighting a war on all fronts in a struggle for our very survival; we have matured, blossomed, and manifested ourselves as what is arguably the most stable force in the entire NS world. As such, let our enemies know that they can no longer assault us with impunity. Let them be warned that further interference with the affairs of the Pacific will be met with a vengeful ferocity which they may well not be able to withstand.

Thanks for the update, Francos. It's an unfortunate episode, but your honesty and humility should help alleviate concerns. I do think it's ironic that the 'adventure' in the S Pacific failed partly because of the support the NPO offered. Talk about the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. So how was Savage's wedding?

Did you get him a blender?
In all seriousness, thanks for the update Francos. We'll continue to spread the good world.
Have you or the senate given thought to putting an end to the debate regarding this special forces/army/diplomacy debate going on in the other threads?

Yes; I too would like to hear the government's position on this. I think there's potential for both harm and benefit here, and we've got to sort it out.
