Well BA, I can only make judgements on what I see; admittedly that isn't a whole lot.
I didn't say that the NPO/Franco and Company were directly responsible. Far from it. While this might be accountable deniabilty I have to say at this point it was an independant operation.
And of course you're involved - good for you, I like to see initiative : ) That little set piece with MVS/Kurds was quite good, timing a little late but we've all been busy lately.
I have to disagree with your reading of human nature and the feeder regions. Any one of your Senators, and you yourself, could strike out and found your own region and gather hundreds of voluntary inhabitants. Why not? You want to be part of the team, a very understandable position - its human nature. To make another feeder region part of a pan-pacific movement would be quite a feather in anyone's hat. A victory in the other teams staduium. The AA did it, and they were 'dreaded' across NS for ages.
Besides - it would be fun.

Considering the transient nature of threads on the WP forum, posting here at keeps something out in the open. So thanks for the therapy, but worry not - I have no dark designs on your fragile region

I think you've got it backwards. It is not the Pacific who is fragile, we have the power and have the courage and ability to use it to maintain order. Presumably Norion will do so as well.
Feel free to continue to visit us, we encourage all discourse that's respectful and in line with the civil code.

There are indeed unfortunate events in the West Pacific these days. If there are common themes, they would in my opinion be untruthfulness from the Delegate and ViceDelegate, and the elimination of the most hard-hitting voices of dissent.
I am no longer Minister of Foreign Affairs of the WesPac, nor indeed am I resident there at all.
Black Adder, you and Berhampore are two of the brightest and finest individuals I have had the pleasure and excellent good fortune to meet in all of NS. FWIW, speaking as I am now a civilian, I can vouch for Mr. Berhampore's honesty and character without scintilla of hesitation. I would hope that in this extremely tense time for him in the WP, that you would find it possible to "cut him some slack," and if he says that something was intended to be tongue-in-cheek, accept that. He has no reason to inflame any kind of tensions between the Pacific and its neighbor to the Occident.
Wishing you both the best, your friend, "Mr. Chips"

I have thus fair remained silent in this thread regarding the MVS/Kurdazistan connection, but given the direct involvement my nation has recently experienced with the party in question, I feel it is time for me to join in.
Following is a brief history of this player and his relationship to the NPO. For clarity, Kurdazistan is the player's main nation, and Zhdanov was a puppet nation this player created to infiltrate the NPO. Comrade Black Adder has stated that Zhdanov was a "traitor to the Revolution," however he was never a part of the Revolution to begin with. Rather, Zhdanov was given a nominal position in the NPO, but was removed from that shortly afterward, after being "lured" out (i.e. the "Vacation invasion"). The nation Zhdanov went back to RadioFree Pacific and plotted with them until that group collapsed. Following this, the player returned to the NPO under the identity Mariupol under the guise of defection. Needless to say, he was given the cold shoulder and eventually indicated that this attempt at sincerity was indeed false. I had not heard of the player again until this MVS scandal.
I have been receiving accusatory telegrams from a third party who has kept his main identity secret, while accusing MVS of being Kurdazistan and planning to overthrow the WP government, and accusing me of being complicit with this. It was my first assumption that Norion was facing a (according to the WP constitution) legal threat to his position, and was trying to frame the nation in question with false charges so that he could be dispatched, as Norion and the West Pacific have had a history of doing (this is not a criticism, only an acknowledgement).
However, it has recently been confirmed that MVS is, in fact, Kurdazistan. The fact that Norion has not ejected the nation, and indeed has protected his secret by controlling public information on their forum, leads me to believe that Norion knows and trusts Kurdazistan. I am confused as to why there has been such a furtive air surrounding these events, and admit that there is probably more than meets the eye, but as far as I can tell, the delegate of that region knows what is going on and is in control of the situation.
That said, if I am wrong and MVS is in fact hostile to the WP regime, the NPO has no interest in friendship with him. It is a joke to suggest the possibility, but if Kurdazistan thinks he is going to do a favor for the NPO to get in my good graces, he is delusional, duplicitous, unwanted and unneeded. Although, he may have been all these to begin with, as far as we're concerned. I would recommend Norion take action if he has any doubts.
I find it disappointing that Norion has kept secrets from the other members of his government. I welcome the West Pacific nations who have been taken aback by Norion's behavior to our forum, and I share your perplexity over the matter. However, I fear I do not have a very positive outlook regarding the future of your region regardless of what events unfold in the near future. I certainly hope for the best and wish the region well, but realistically, I do not forsee the possibility for the end of unrest in that region. I hope that you are able to overcome this turmoil and return to a more fruitful existence.

I only desire that the truth be known.
I have never conspired with Black Adder as Berh's paranoia suggests.
For now, everyone will be limited to watching the events within The West Pacific unfold.
I would hope that you all realize missing posts are not the norm in the West Pacific forum, and when I become delegate will no longer have any place in areas of our forum.

Anyone from the West Pacific care to comment on the build-up of ADN forces in their region? I feel it's a cause for concern.

just my two cents but it is becoming obvious (if it wasn't already) that the ADN has taken an "interest" in the Pacific regions, they installed Magicality in The North Pacific after wilkshire resigned.
Does the ADN plan to do the same in the west pacific? and will the citizens of the west pacific allow it?

Only a few misguided ADN nations are involved. The ADN denies official involvement though I would like to see them condemn this interference in what was once considered a fair, democratic election.
The main groups involved are the FF and TITO. Seems they don't have any faith in the people of the West Pacific to make up their own minds. I used to not agree with calling them terrorists, but given their new illegitimate actions in my homeland, I am reconsidered it.
It is fascinating how they’re put in as much effort in the West Pacific if not more than they did in the Pacific. They can’t finish their first goal before setting another. Having unattainable goals are a common characteristic of a terrorist organization. Taking an international relations class changes your perspective on a lot of the people in this game.

Kurds, how can this be considered a fair election when the people of the West Pacific don't even know who they are electing?
Norion has not taken the time to even post on the World Factbook Entry that elections are taking place. You have masqueraded as MVS, trying to hid your past - it was revealed and then Norion and yourself attempted to hid this. When that proved impossible you declared yourself and dared me to 'do something about it'.
As I've stated before, I don't think this is an open NPO operation although I believe some residents of the Pacific are involved. I have no desire to unsettle the fragile and developing relationship we of the WP has with the Pacific. Again, as I've stated previous, I posted here thanks to my distrust of our own offsite forum - I have yet to see a resolution to that problem I'm sorry to say.
Groups of nations have indeed moved to the WP to bolster Norion - how can that be thought of as an 'invasion'? Frankly, with Kurds track record, no one, not me, not Lanier, not Franco, not members of the ADN and other groups, thinks he is fit to rule the WP or any feeder region.
I apologize to the peoples of the Pacific and Francos Spain in particular; I have taken advantage of your hospitality here to spread our political conflicts in what is an otherwise neutral forum. I thank you for your time, bandwidth and patience. I will not post here regarding this subject again (I am still the official Envoy here I suppose, so if you have any non-election questions, ask away).

Aren't you guys always spouting off about there being a Constitution that governs your actions in a democratic way? If that is so, then why in the hell are you making a judgment call MVS? Yes, he has a notorious past, but stand by your principles and let the people decide who they want, otherwise all anyone is doing is putting a puppet of ideology in charge. It's ridiculous how you and your cohorts have been spouting off on our forum. I'm getting rather sick of the accusation that Norion is making about an NPO presence in the West Pacific. Get real, get a life...your real threat is not the NPO, but it's the terrorists from the ADN. Why hasn't your delegate booted them out of the region to make the election process fair? Ah, enough of this. I need a beer. And a woman.

I noticed MVS had more endorsements than did Norion several days ago. I had presumed Norion took notice of this and went on an endorsement campaign, but if it is indeed ADN nations who are currently propping up the sitting delegate, then I should really suggest Norion get his things in order (assuming he really doesn't see MVS as a threat.) I would hope that you all realize missing posts are not the norm in the West Pacific forum, and when I become delegate will no longer have any place in areas of our forum. I seem to recall hearing during the Erlenav fiasco that the West Pacific forum was locked down such that no new posts could be made until pre-approved by a moderator. This is the most blatant of the many reports of WP censorship I have heard, and the practice may be far more prevalent than you were aware (or care to admit). I do hope, however, that should you ascend to the position of delegate, you wouldn't be so restrictive of public dissent. Or if you are, at least not be so hypocritical about it. With regard to Berhampore's assertion that there are Pacific nations involved in the current West Pacific turmoil, I must reassure you that to my knowledge, no Pacific nations (and certainly none of rank) are involved in any way in your current situation (excluding puppet nations of a player whose primary identity is in the other region [such as MVS's "Zhdanov" residing in the Pacific]). Also Berhampore, your courteous and fruitful posting on this forum regarding the situation in your region is more than welcome and you needn't apologize for utilizing it for that reason. *tosses Thorin a beer* Now, this is the "West Pacific Interest Section" after all, and they are for the most part entitled to use this thread as they see fit, especially if it pertains directly or indirectly to us. The representatives from that region have behaved themselves rather maturely and they are more than welcome to continue a civil discourse, especially if holding such discourse elsewhere is not convenient or possible. And again, Norion has a long and transparent history of framing his legal opposition to his delegacy and this latest scandal should come as no surprise. (Although it does admittedly surprise me that the ADN would condone and indeed support a region with such a flimsy facade of a "democratic" process, but I suppose at the end of the day, all they're concerned with is the total number of nations they have at their disposal.) I don't really have anything against Norion and I have always been for good relations between our regions, but I really hope he acts honorably and upholds his own word and his own regional constitution, or at least has the balls to not deny and cover it up if he should go against it.
