I am curious... with all this oversight about nation names, why do "Lazy Stoned Bastards" and "Niki-Nympho" not meet the criteria of offensive? And they are reciprocally endorsed by Francos. Not to be offensive myself, but this appears to be somewhat hypocritical. It would appear that offensive names are OK if they endorse the correct person(s). Is that a correct assessment? If not, what am I missing?

it does not quite work that way.
some nations have names that seem random but are actully not.
some nations with bad names go unnoticed.
my view is that if the nation's name is not extremely "bad" and the player is active and respects the rules it is fine.
but feel free to report nations that you think have violated the Civil Code

Well then ... I feel obligated to report two nations for violations of 1008:
The Free Land of Pretty Women; an offensive national animal, offensive motto, offensive post on the Pacific page (05/10/04).
The People's Republic of GrabbatittyNsqueeze; a new but crude nation of sophomoric wit.

Tar A, check your local library for video (VHS) copies of the Sharpe's series. They are available in larger cities and you may be able to borrow them through inter-library loan.

We report violations of the Civil Code, specifically 1008 here. Sometimes we also report the nations to the mods as well. My reporting of these violaters is how I came to be a Centurion in this region.
Chosen Men, I think GyroMonkeyFuk could be in the gray area of being in violation. It's best to report it and wait for our beloved emperor to decide. Further, you might want to read earlier in this thread where Francos Spain clearly states what comprises a violation of 1008 just to assist you in this matter.

I took the liberty of suggesting that Dyb change his/her settings for the items with can be changed.
