It's a reference to the lord of the rings.

When I joined everyone was a noob. Pretty much I jumped into a vet spot. Made a region, fought a war, fought several regional RP wars, joined alliances.... all stuff people do 8 months after joining I did in a period of 3 months.

It's a reference to the lord of the rings. Got to be quick to understand everything I allude to. *mental note, see if you can steal Neandertron away from Berh....*

Hmm... that would have been a long time ago now. My first nation was created on the fourth of January 2003, I think. It's almost reached 3.5 billion people now.
Initially, I just sat in a region and answer issues. After about half a year of this, the region was griefed by a group of quarterwits known as "The Bing". Being stupid even for the invaders of those times, they weren't at all picky about who they recruited. We had puppets in their group almost immediately, one of which they were planning to set up as the delegate of our region when they moved on. Unfortunately someone reported them to the mods before this could happen, so we had to settle for following their UN nations and defending the regions they attacked.
In the first such region, we encountered an organised defender group. This was still back in the days when most defenders weren't corrupt as much of the ADN is now. The defence took a few weeks of holding the region against The Bing (the native delegate was on holiday, so they couldn't simply be kicked out immediately). From that point on there were several groups watching The Bing, so they couldn't do any more invading and eventually dispersed. Most of the people from my home region stopped defending after that, but I followed various defender groups around for a while. Eventually a lot of them were talking about kicking the NPO out of The Pacific.
I was involved in a few of the invasion/liberation attempts late last year, but I soon became suspicious - the motives of the people in charge of the attacks seemed increasingly dodgy, as did the tactics involved (and the quantity of whining in the Moderation forum was ridiculous). Around the end of the year I decided to see whether any of what they were saying was actually true, and joined the NPO with this nation (a fairly new one, which none of the ADN lot knew about).
A while later, the "defenders" started to focus on actually defending regions again, and I was still involved in that for a short time - until they started endorsing their own nations instead of native delegates. At that point I decided that they'd ceased to be defenders at all, and gave up on them. I'm pretty sure there are still a few defender groups out there that aren't as corrupt as the ADN has become, but there can't be many of them.

Well...two months ago (or a bit more) I was a noob and it took me a while to get everything figured out. I lived in one of the Pacifics and one day decided to join a few other friends in the region of Taarumoran, which was ran by Taaru. Well, that region died soon since no one actually knew how to run it So I moved away and wandered around NationStates looking for some new friends and contacts Sometimes I still feel like a noob..especially upon joining a new region ;D
