Ok, story is, Im logged in as normal, chjeck the Pcific and General forums and then head over to the High Court, intending to report a few people.
I click on high court, get a message, error you are not allowed access this board or something like that and I find myself logged out!
I even created a new account to see if that would work but it doesnt. What's going on?
edit: ignore me, maybe I or my computer (probably both) are going ever more speedily insane . . .

Thats just a Proboards bug, it logs you out randomly and you didn't have access to the high court because you need to be logged in to get access.

Thank you! Australian patriots? . . . Im not familiar with Australian history, is it something in reference to the past (an independence war maybe) or simply you consider yourself a patriot?

As far as I know, Australia got it's independence because Britain let it go. Prehaps its a refernce to WWII?

Something is screwy with this Proboards server. About 5% of the time, when I click a link, I get a "too many connections" error - something, in my overly extensive proboards experience, that has never happened before this board.

When you get that message wait about 5 minuets then try again it normally lets you in at that point. If you try again right away it sometimes lets you in as well.

Damn it! You're serious? That happens to yours truly all the time! And it can be solved if I wait five minutes?

I get that message very rarely.
Where is the server based? Im presuming East Coast USA (they all seem to be) so its probably twitchy at peak usage is all.

I get that message very rarely. Where is the server based? Im presuming East Coast USA (they all seem to be) so its probably twitchy at peak usage is all. I never have to wait more than 15 seconds or so before it lets me back in. It's a method the boards use for limiting traffic to the boards, and thus maintaining a reasonable response time for the people who are using it. If you ask most people, would you rather see a message right away that says the forum is too busy, or would you rather it just hang there like the NS forums? You know how most people would answer. In fact, if they could implement that at the NS forums, I think we'd all be a bit happier.

Heh - my point was more that this particular proboards server is a little messed up. (Of course, now that you mention it, I have been on others were it slows without an error message - but gets through eventually.)
And I don't know how long it takes, really - when I encounter it, I usually go to another window and do something else until I remember this one again.
Oh, and the NS servers. Heh. Anyone want to take bets on how long it's going to take them to fix it? They say "weeks" at a minimum, I'm pumping for half a year...

I doubt it will ever be satisfactory. When the server is taken up by that british company max was talking about (jolt i think) they will probably side line and only give it as little bandwidth as they can get away with without pissing max off.
