Greetings. I am His Highness Markus of the Dominion of Hazor. All Ye who have ears, let him hear! I am new to the pacific, and look forward to much role play. You should take note that my people are robust and we desire that you recognize our superiority. We don't take kindly to threats and we enjoy all sorts of pleasures. On behalf of the women of my nation, i offer thier services to you, but may your vice be your undoing - you have been warned. I encourage diplomatic contact through telegrams and as a result we will honor you with a pair of Polar Monkeys. They are our national animal and a delicacy. Now will someone please fill me in on the happenings of the Pacific, and how to play. Good Day - His Highness Markus of the Dominion - www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=hazor

Superiority is best revealed through deeds instead of words.
Welcome to The Pacific Hazor!

Oooo. I know it's wicked to do this but I can't resist.
No offense Hazor. It's what I do. ............................................................ PSA #5; <<The following has been approved for all nations by the Pacific Society of Free Regional Information for Educable Newly Designed States (Pacific Society of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.) in conjunction with the Chief of the Bureau of Other-Region Endorsements (BORE)>>
(Voice of young n00b talking to self) Wow! My nation has been in existence every bit of two days now and no one is paying any attention. I know… I will make a cool threat on the HQ board. I’ll tell people things like ‘I rule this region’ and ‘Bow down to my power’. Or maybe I will insult them in an inimical, puerile fashion. By the day after tomorrow I’m sure I’ll be UN delegate --- that is --- if I can figure out how to join the UN.
(Voice of Chief of BORE) We see these kinds of grandiose delusions every day; young n00bs crying out for attention and making empty claims. Here at Save the Newbies we attempt to redirect the energy of these young nations in a more positive direction. Won’t you help?
Every time you see a message from one of these misdirected souls, send a telegram asking their leader to switch to decaf. Don’t worry about telling them how to join the UN; they’ll figure it out eventually. Oh, and explain to them ‘inimical’ means ‘unfriendly’.
<<The opinions of the Pacific Society of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and the Chief of BORE do not necessarily reflect those of the leadership of any region. All comments and rebuttals can be made to Chosen Men.>>

[Chosen Men stops laughing and trys to be more serious]
Greetings Great and Terrible Markus of Hazor,
As ye have eyes, let ye read!
You are already embarking on the first and best step in learning how to 'play'. You are here in the Pacific forum. Take some time to read the different threads (topics). Especially take time to read the Civil Code in the High Court section. Toss in a comment here or there to establish yourself and prepare yourself for the outcome.
Some here are friendly, some caustic. All are 'fun'.

Not all of us were born in within the first three months of the launch of the game, Comrade. In my first days even I was a helpless n00b. Many nations I have met have joined the game much more recently and have been able to adapt quickly and have a greater effect on the world than I have made.
I hope we will be the appropriate environment for Nazor (if he is indeed a newer player in the game) to learn more about the game and grow into a dynamic nation.
Welcome to the Pacific, Comrade.
