Last of all, General Franco was an awful, awful man who is responsible for the troubles in the Basque region of Spain today. Get yourself a better role model. I'm part basque, and live in a basque community in America, and I'll be frank you, if they were granted independence tomorrow, there's no way in hell they'd ever form a country. They need someone stronger than them to bind them together. I've got members of my family who never talked to me, until my great-grandma died. I got 4 letters the next week inviting me over. These people hold grudges forever and are nuts. Why are they called "dumb basquos?" Cause we're all Nucking Futs. There’d be nothing but civil war. What would YOU suggest be an appropriate way of stoping endorsement swaping? We have absolute rules that we follow, so that there is no confusion about "crossing the line." Ok, I'm John Noob, and I've noticed that someone has endorsed me. I click the name and see "Democracy and Freedoms." Hmm, I like democracy AND freedoms, I'll endorse him. [click]. You didn't think this would happen? That if you endorse people they wouldn't endorse you back? So, you came here intrigued by a nation simulation game. You got here, joined the UN, answered some issues. Hunted around and found the "list all nations button." You then had the time to click and read the nation stats, make sure they have high CR and PF and endorse 40+ nations, yet you did not have the time to make one post in the NS forums. You do not have ONE POST in the nationstates forums, and yet you say you frequent forums? The forums are the main reason people play this game. You didn’t have the time to talk to these people, make a post, or ask a question, but had the time to go about endorsing? When I read your posts, I can see you are quite familiar with internet forums, and it is standard practice to introduce yourself and make a post or two when you join a new game. Sitting in your nation answering issues and playing UN is boring after a few weeks, as even Max Berry states. Your friend would have recommended this to you and probably would have mentioned the RP games, or the regional politics, or something else. But when you were ejected for violating Civil Code 0001: Seeking more than 40 endorsements, you found the forums quite quickly. You posted here 90 minutes after ejection (as if you were waiting for it). Instead of defending yourself against the charges, by saying something like “I didn’t know” or “I wasn’t SEEKING 40 endorsements, I was just endorsing nations I approved of. I repent my ways,” you came here and attacked the foundations of our region. You knew EXACTLY what you were doing when you arrived here, feigning to be a n00b, and a poor job of it at that. The reason you have no posts is because you do that under your main nation, you puppet.

I think I picked it up off GenMay or something like that. But when you were ejected for violating Civil Code 0001: Seeking more than 40 endorsements, you found the forums quite quickly. The reason you have no posts is because you do that under your main nation, you puppet. How about no. I wanted to answer issues, be involved in the UN and the region with other Pacific nations. I end up in the rejected realms, if it not obvious I would follow up WHY?! I see no need for these insults. If I have deeply offended you, I am sorry. Otherwise, please desist. Btw I answered in the quote. Also my name is not the one I had intended....I originally wanted to be a real-life nation like the People's Republic of China or USA, but these were all taken. So I had to play around with various combinations until I found one that would be accepted. I check the internet regularly from school and home, if you are wondering about why I am hasty in replying.

I'm sorry, I did not mean to insult you. I didn't know calling you a puppet of another nation was an insult.
Issues come infrequently, so I doubt you check this game often. Also, why did you never debate the UN resolutions, or propose one? Or debate the issues? Look, it comes down to this...Either you are a spy, or you aren’t. Let’s take it slow, dissect your actions, and see if we can't sort this whole thing out.
If you ARE a spy, then... You were instructed to look like a noob, talk like a noob, even go so far as to ask silly noob questions.
Abbysseria Your response DandF
You've showed you are a literate guy, and I'm sure you saw the thread "High Court and Civil Code" located right above your post. You know how a forum works, you just over-compensated by being a little too noob.
Then, upon getting ejected, you start asking for democracy, instead of defending your case. You then recommend we send the Civil Code to the new Pacific nations. When we came to power, the Civil Code was the favorite thing to be t-gramed around the Pacific, to try and get Francos Spain to lose endorsements. This comes right out of the Anti-Franco playbook. They (FPA/PA/FF) would also enjoy creating a puppet, sending it in, letting it collect endorsements, and then have it running around, posting and T-graming the world about how they were ejected by Franco, the evil tyrant. You knew that if you went straight to that, we would sniff you out right quick, so you came here. You acted like a good little citizen of the empire, and preceded to plea your case in our official forum, attempting to show those loyal to Franco that you are a poor, innocent victim of his despotic regime. After we found you guilty again, that is when you would spam the region, being the town crier for democracy.
If you are NOT a spy, then, if you play the game just to answer issues, vote in the UN, and endorse nations with high PF/CR, you'd have no trouble playing by yourself in the Rejected Realms. I continue to wonder why you'd invest so much time and energy trying to stay in a region that you have so many problems with. Since you don't interact with other player or inter-regional politics, you'll be perfectly content quietly going away, and answering your issues and voting in the UN indefinitely.
Now, the choice is yours...You can continue your quest to try and damage our leaders reputation, and prove to the world you are a spy, or you can go quietly to Rejected Realms, and play as you always have...By yourself, answering issues and collecting endorsements.
If you do decide to have a spam offensive, be forewarned, our people have endured these shenanigans for months, and will ignore your plea for "democracy and freedoms." You will only waste your time and validate my accusation. Don't worry; many other have tried what you are trying to do. So please, save yourself a lot of time and trouble and either play your nation, or let it fade into deletion.

I voice concerns about the government as a Pacific nation, and get called a noob, rebelious and a spy. If that is how the region works, fine. I must say I am taken aback by the seriousness of the members here and suspition displayed toward me, when i had expected to be educated more about the ways of the Pacific and how to become more involved in the NationStates game, after all, that is what it is - a game, for the purposes of having fun. I have repeated the arguement over and over again in this topic, I have nothing against your leader, if he does a good job, fine, the people will keep him. I only felt that some of the rules in the civil code were discriminatory agaisnt new nations. I do not want to force my views on any nation by spamming up the Pacific. If they see this topic, they will make their own minds up, either way.

I contribute several statements and observations:
1. This thread is not a place to criticize this government. You were directed to this thread, by me, but for the purpose of appealing your ruling, not analyzing our system of government. Perhaps fault also lies with us, in that we responded to your appeal, even though we do not speak for the high court (unless Sir Paul or other senators, are speaking on behalf of the court in this instance). I for one wish I had left a response to the proper authorities instead of cluttering this thread with needless babble.
I encourage both NPO members and yourself, DandF, to continue that discussion in another thread.
2. I suggest that this thread be cleaned and parsed so that arriving nations may better understand that:
- this is the thread in which to post all appeals - this is not a place to argue - but having made an appeal, silence should be maintained until the high court rules. - any and all debate should be moved to the appropriate area of the message board.
3. I do not suggest we delete all of DandF's arguments, but keep them in another thread. Is it possible to move them, intact, to the regional thread where this can be appropriately discussed?
Best regards, Abysseria

Democracy And Freedoms Vs. The Pacific
Let it be known that in my ruling on your appeal I have not taken into account your other unnecessary posts on this thread. If it were not for the mention of how and why you were pointed to this thread by Abysseria, one could not even be certain that you intended to appeal your case.
I am similarly not taking into account the fact that you are very likely a puppet nation from a terrorist organization outside the Pacific. The unprovoked, ungrateful, and rude remarks directed at our Caudillo, Francos Spain, are all that it takes to convince me of this.
And after all this you have not presented a single piece of evidence in defense of yourself. You were initially charged with breaking Statute 0001 of our Great Pacific Civil Code. I am afraid that I have no other option but to agree with the earlier judgement and uphold the sentence granted then, which is banishment to the rejected realms.
On a personal note, I would like to state that your sort make me sick. The anarchist plague you spread can only destroy any healthy region you infect with it. These little political games not only have no effect aside from discrediting your cause, but are also a complete waste of our time.
The High Judge of the Pacific,

I would like to further endorse Abysseria's proposition that we cleanse this thread. Leaving only appeals and rulings. There is a place for the kind of hateful rhetoric spouted by DandF and this is not that place.

Your imaginary authority doesn't do anything to me....I'm e-sh*tting my pants.
Have fun pretending to be high judges of things.
This will be my last post on the NPO boards and to do with the Pacific.
The Rejected Realms (and other regions) are far more friendly than your totalitarian yoke.

Might I, perhaps, reccomend that instead of a purge, you place the removed posts in the archive forum so that we can show the world how reasonably we dealt with this?
More than anything else, this damages those fools in the rebellion.

Unfortunately it is not possible to copy individual posts or even threads on this forum. Only to move them. I'd not even consider deleting DandF's posts as it would require me to remove their eloquent replies.

Perhaps we should move this thread to the archive, and start a new High Court Thread.

I concur with DANF, who cares about bad grammer, i aint got no bad grammer, talk about a powerhungry and egotistical leader. Franco is a miserable delegate and should be overthrown, down with Franco, down with Franco i say. He is against progress much like Hitler, Stalin, Mousilini, and Saddam, oh yea and the Taliban, and Al-Qaida

So, encouraging the use of good grammer, spelling, politeness and removing obsenity from our region is against progress? I think his nuetralness of the nuetral planet put it best when he said "I have no strong feelings one way or another." Should we disolve the civil code and everything we stand for? His nuetralness notes "my gut tells me maybe." You've just got here, and I'd like you to keep an open mind like his nuetralness. After you'd find out that we even let Gettersburg speak (a boy whose typing makes your eyes bleed) you can see that we are a free and open people.

My dear sir, El Caudillo is the greatest leader the Pacific has ever had. We are all quite intelligent men, and women, and we support him to the fullest of our abilities and minds. Now, if you have a case to plead, then by all means say it. While not a senator or a judge, I am however relatively sure that this action isn't going to inspire them to look upon you with favour. Now, as a student lawyer, I can tell you right now that my employer would throw your case out if you were going to speak like that in court while defending yourself.
