(Dilemma #90) - "Organic Outburst" The IssueAfter a recent left-wing broadsheet expose of agricultural practices, an outburst of public paranoia has stirred up the organic foods debate. The Debate- Option 1: "I just can’t stomach it any more," rants concerned parent Billy McAlpin. "My children’s future is being put at risk by irresponsible corporate practices. We must outlaw the use of pesticides and additives by farmers and food producers."
- Option 2: "I’ve heard enough of this treehugging, lefty nonsense," argues corporate spokesman Faith Love. "The agricultural industry needs to use the most advanced technology available, it’s the only way to keep The New Pacific Order competitive in food production. Besides, the studies we have commissioned prove that only 1 in 20 child deaths are due to our products, and surely that’s an acceptable rate in the name of progress?."
- Option 3: "Stop torturing Mother Earth!" yells outraged environmental extremist Konrad Thiesen "Are we prepared to sacrifice our planet and our souls for the sake a few extra Pacific Monetary Units? If we hope to live in harmony with the environment that nurtures and protects us, we must ban all industries that pollute our world. Let us return to the trees, my brothers!”

I hope anyone here can participate in this. It did let me vote so hopefully that was correct. This is instructive as I can see issues before they hit my nation and receive guidance from more experienced players.
thank you

You are certainly allowed to vote, El Cid, indeed, that is the point of these issues. Maybe Tar could start throwing a link to the People's Puppet and a brief parenthetical explanation of these polls in the future? I'd also like to thank Tar A again for generously volunteering her time to make these polls for me for the past several weeks.

Yes, yes, by all means, please vote. These issues are for everyone to have a say in. Although I'm not sure what kind of great guidance you'll get here... the nation itself isn't doing too well edit: bah, too slow. Yes, the nation was Franco's idea but he was kind enough to let me take over. I absolutely love playing around with nations and issues (you don't want to know how many nations I have). Feel free to telegram me if you ever really want advice on issues, though. I'll be more than happy to help

Thank you both.
And thank you TAR for taking the time to do this and keep it up to date. I appreciate your offer and will probably take you up on that because some issues in the forum just seem to have no good answer.
