An elderly man sits in his small, quaint house in the capitol of Brellyia, Weisstein. To drown out the sound of his grandson rummaging in his room, he flicks on the TV's late news broadcast to find an image of the country's charismaticly powerful leader, Heinrich Heller, giving an empowering speech in the country's most used language of German..
In this time of world-wide unrest, with dangers lurking just behind every turn, beyond every border, now is no time for the young and strong of our nation to sit by and watch as dangers from those who do not share our beliefs become real. This call is for anyone, ages seventeen to thirty, to report to your nearest Government Building to check in for a mandatory draft into the Brellyian Army. Upon signing up, you will be issued.. One rifle, one sidearm, one uniform, one set of tactical armor, and ten marks. When you sign up, you will immediately receive a consideration for Social Furthering of our class system. Anyone wishing to enlist as an Officer, speak to your local Commander to be considered. Officer's will receive their uniform and equipment, and twenty marks..."
The news cast switched over to a very beautiful lady, speaking a somewhat less-used language amongst the Government officials, but more used amongst the common folk, English.
"Besides his issuing of the mandatory draft today, Heinrich Heller has issued a similar statement to all surrounding Pacific nations. He states, 'This is by no means an act of aggression to any of my brothers in the Pacific, but only a mounting defense against any exterior threats.' In other news.."
The old man switched off his television set, and called out to his grandson in English, "Don't tell me you are preparing to be drafted?" The boy called from the door as he was walking to the awaiting military transport, "Fur Gott und Land!"
