At Bertram Stantrous' suggestion, I've created a chat room for this region. There'll be some times scheduled to debate UN resolutions, etc., but feel free to stop by anytime you like. Since I have no life, I'll try to be on most of the time. Click here, wait for it to load (be patient), enter your name in the first box and click "Connect". (If you have another connection client, eg mIRC, the server is irc.ircstorm.net, port #6667, channel #The_Pacific.) If you have troubleshooting problems with the room, contact me here or via telegram, but I'm no technical genius. Hope to see you all there. Edit: uploaded some very cool stat pages on the room. See them here and here.

Groovy - thanks TarA. I'm gone this week, but I'll make it a point to be online during the day.

Groovy, but alas, there is no one online at present.

I think my computer hates me. Still no luck in trying to get in.

I'm really sorry, Desetland, and not sure what to do. I'll think about it some more and maybe get back to you - you are not the only one with the problem.
I'm online right now... but not for long, alas, the curse of visiting relatives has descended upon me.
Next time a UN resolution comes up, we'll try to find a time to get together and debate it.
And, if someone wants to move this to regional events, I think that would be more appropriate.

OK. New UN resolution at vote. " Alternative Fuels," which is currently winning by a huge margin. Voting ends on the 30th... can everyone please post here what time and date would be appropriate for them. Judging by what most posted in the other thread, most of us live in North America. Sometime in the afternoon or early evening on Thusday of Friday would probably work best for me...

Sounds good to me. Any time between 12- 10 EST is good for me.

All right. Not many have posted here, but that could just be because of the holidays. As voting ends on this resolution Sunday, we need to schedule this for today. Alternative Fuels may not be a particularly controversial resolution, but this is one step towards bringing the community together and increasing regional participation. I propose we gather around 9 PM Eastern (6 PM pacific time) today, Saturday the 29th. This is, of course, negotiable. And many thanks, Poskrebyshev, for moving and stickying this thread.

No, RL prevented me from making it. I don't believe there was a discussion.
There is, however, a new UN resolution, so we'll try again.
How would 9 PM EST on Friday work for everyone?

I have an event that night, but I might be able to join later in the evening if it goes more than an hour or so....

*sighs* Something came up and I'm not going to be able to make it then, either. I won't be online at all, Friday to Saturday afternoon. So, unless someone else wants to manage it, I guess this is a no-go.
