To be a Senator of the Pacific
You are in for a long, hard road if you wish to be part of the New Pacific Order. Senators are chosen from among themselves, and their criteria is ensures that only the best rise to the level of senator of the Pacific, the region from whence all others came.
Senators first and foremost must love their region with all their heart and all their minds and with every fiber of their being. They can not be a person who wants to be part of "some government," but one who would be loyal to the Pacific and uphold and truly believe in her ideals: Peace, Strength, and Prosperity.
Senators must, as civilians, shown that they are completely loyal and willing to put in extra effort to ensure that their region is not lost to the invading barbarians, periodically making sure that 7,000 nations in the Pacific abide by the civil code help ensure that our delegate is in a strong position and that we shall not return to the age of chaos.
Being active in both the Pacific message boards and the nationstates message boards is a must. This is a good way to show your time commitment and loyalty to the New Pacific Order.
Senators must have a military mind and the stealth of a spy. Senators must keep an ear to the ground to hear approaching enemies. Senators must have connections and a network of unsavory characters in key positions throughout the world to ensure that no action occurs without their knowledge. Every world event and every move made by an enemy of the Pacific should be conducted under the watchful eye of the Senator, who would readily and without hesitation take action to ensure that no happening occurs that would harm the Pacific and its glorious government.
Senators must be willing to be alone and isolated. Conspirators are ever present in this land, including in your circle of friends. A senator must be willing to ban even the dearest of friends without hesitation or regret if they plot against the NPO.
When governments fall, when revolution takes hold, when nations dissolve and regions explode, there has been one, and only one constant in this world of change and chaos: The Pacific. If you dare take on the burden and toil of this mantle of responsibility, may God guide your heart so that all actions taken by you are best for our glorious region. To be a Senator of the Pacific is to be a steward and a servant to the institutions that bind thousands of nations and billions of people into a singularity. A Senator is the light that shines forth from that singularity.

Commendable and very elegant (and I'm not being ironic).
It also sounds like too much for the likes of me - I have puppets here and there but I'm none to active and not nearly motivated enough to become part of the NPO. A slightly sobering confession I guess, but I may as well be honest with myself.
So while I'm here I'll have forum conversations that are fun and sometimes elightening and consider myself lucky.
