Pacificites,
I am curious. Out of the 7000+ nations within The Pacific, what percentage of them actually engage one another and discuss regional politics/topics?
My marillion buck is placed on .5%.
That being said, can there be factions within The Pacific that the nations using this board/the gov't of the Pacific are/is unaware of? I am aware of governors and their jurisdiction over an alphabetical populous, but I wonder how many nations in The Pacific are even aware of this web page.
Can anything be done to remedy this? Perhaps more interesting - should anything be done? I could not imagine engaging and rallying over 1000 nations/individuals - let alone 7000 - without gobs of time problems!
I was trying to find a topic of this sort on this website but I was not able to. I'd appreciate any comments on the matter as this has perplexed me: a region of this size trying to effectively govern itself. It's a wonderful feat!

This question sounds familiar. Don't know what much to tell you, other than that we have a pretty high turnover rate, which is really one of the most interesting features of the Pacifics. We do, however, encourage nations to become active on these boards in order to give them something to do and not just fade into oblivion. We've also been talking in another thread about an official greeting message for new nations so they realize there's much more to do in this game than just answer the daily issues.
