All right, here is the first issue for our communal puppet. You can either vote based on your own personal beliefs, or how you feel it would best represent our region. Also, if you're a newer player and don't want the surprise of new issues spoiled for you, please avert your eyes. In the event of a tie, I'll cast the tie breaking vote. Ready then? Let's get started: _________________________________________________________ The IssueA loose coalition of sartorially-challenged individuals known as "Let It All Hang Out" has called on the government to relax public nudity laws. The Debate- Option 1: For too long, our bodies have been trapped in these prisons of cotton and polyester!" yelled protester May Bush, while apparently developing a nasty case of sunburn. "We must repeal the puritanical laws that make public nudity a crime. My body--my choice to dangle!"
- Option 2: "I agree," mused sociology professor Calvin Jones. "But I don't think the protestors are going far enough. Public nudity shouldn't be an option: it should be compulsory. Nudity is highly liberating. And it would put that disgusting "Hooters" out of business once and for all."
- Option 3: "Whoa, whoa," says noted accountant Roger Hendrikson. "Are these people serious? The last thing I want to see when I'm out for a coffee is some lumbering, over-weight nudist coming down the sidewalk toward me. If people want to get naked, they can do it in the privacy of their own homes. Think of the children!"

How many issues a day is it on? How did you answer the first issue - the one about elections? The result isn't showing up in the Spotlight (maybe that would mean you dismissed it). I personally want to see the puppet become a psychotic dictatorship - lol - so I vote to outlaw nudity. And I'm all for the currency being The Tin of Spam, heh.

Since these will be coming up every day, should there be a special forum for them, so they don't clog up this one?

Okay, I let this one go a day and a half since the idea was new to people. Looks like option three has it. I must say I'm surprised though, as it looked like it was going to be a landslide for option one when the poll first began. I'll make the next poll after the game update.
And you bring up a good point with clogging, Ramoth. Maybe we should make an archive board to pour all issue poll threads and UN resolution discussions into after they've run their course.
Edit: How did I miss your post, Tar? Guess it's just force of habit to ignore you ;D
Seriously though, the nation is on one issue per day and was dismissing all its other ones before this one. I'm kind of glad the nation was spawned as an Inoffensive Centrist Democracy, since starting smack-dab in the middle will make it easier to see what direction we're steering it in.

An archive board might not be a bad idea, as we certainly do have an active posting base on this board....

Edit: How did I miss your post, Tar? Guess it's just force of habit to ignore you ;D Gee, thanks... True, true. At first I was a little disappointed because that category is so darn boring, but this is a good point. And I'm all for an archive-ish place. These threads will start to spam up the boards (not like there's no spam threads in here already lol)
