Well they could certainly masticate it fine enough. I was more curious about tooth decay as a result. Squirrels eat peanut butter it gets stuck in the back and starts rotting the teeth. Figure T Rex salivates enough to wash it out? Not so fearsome when its gumming some planteater is it?

Oh god, not peanut butter. However good it might be, it couldn't do a thing to a dinosaur!

I recall seeing somewhere that a Tyrannousaur's jaw muscles might have been very powerful closing, but not so strong opening. So I suppose its reasonable that peanut butter would give one of them a problem. Of course, I may be confusing it with alligator jaw muscles...

African T Rex's are non migratory...or is that swallows?

Well, it could grip the jar of PB by the husks, couldn't it?

Its not a question of where it grasps the jar of PB, its all a matter of jaw pressure and crushing ratios. If the T Rex loses its teeth how is it going to open the jar?

It's got hands - it could use its hands and then its not a question of ratios at all, is it?

What? From underneath its sternum? Those arms are vestigial at best. Its like insinuating a swallow could fly whilst grasping a coconut. The dorsal feathers are in the way.

no no! Perhaps if it laid on its side, it wouldn't be a problem!

No, no, no! There's no concievable way the Tyrannousaur could open a jar with its hands. If it held it in one, it wouldn't be able to reach across, and if it put it down, in would fall on its face trying to open it.

But the Tyrannousaur could just eat the jar. It's tough, it could take it.

Not if it suffers tooth decay from eating Peanut butter. Teeth would snap off like toothpicks.
Perhaps two T Rex's could open it utilizing a strip of bark and fashioning some sort of block and pulley system.

They could also utilize the help of a more nimble dinosaur - help me or be eaten? I don't think T-Rex is above extortion, do you?

Maybe they could sway the more nimble dinosaur with an offer of some refreshing tasty Ovaltine?

or perhaps they get the more nimble one to open it, feed the more nimble one with the PB, let its teeth rot, then eat it?
