Oh shit, I knew I had been forgetting something over the last week and half! Actually, I do apologize for the intervals of silence, but am happy to say that real life should now allow me to keep up with these issues (semi) regularly. And now, without further adieu: Today's issue for our communal puppet, everyone please feel free to lodge your vote and participate in the debate. (Dilemma #121) - "A Uniform Plan For The New Pacific Order's Students?" The IssueA random PTA meeting has brought the debate over school uniforms to your attention. The Debate- Option 1: "I think uniforms are great," says Bill Frederickson, your Minister of Education during a cabinet meeting. "They instil a sense of community within our schools and lower crime - and the pupils can go about their daily business without having to worry about being browbeaten by their classmates for not wearing the latest trainers. The New Pacific Order simply cannot do without them. If the children don't like them, then hard cheese."
- Option 2: "Dude, your plan stinks," says Jennifer Wong, leader of The Students Union. "Our clothing is part of who we are; it lets us express ourselves just by passing someone in the corridor. To say we must wear these inhibiting uniforms is an affront to our personal freedom! So back off with the uniforms, dude, students should be allowed to go to school dressed however they like. Or not dressed, if that's their style."

Oh, and speaking of further adieu: still no word on the issue we submitted yet. Did you forget to line Sirocco's pockets for us, Tar? Or maybe we didn't meet his "minimum of three Aussie slang expressions per issue" quota to get his seal of approval. Oh well, I can certainly imagine they'd have a hellish backlog.

Apparently he doesn't accept bribes, although I did my best. I even tried to bribe the forum mods who help him edit issues. All to no avail.
(I think they're still on issues submitted in December '03 to Januray '04. Huge backlog indeed.)
And, ha, at forgetting to do these for a while. I think even I did better than almost two weeks' silence.

I voted for Option #1.
Uniformity is the best way to maintain order.

I voted for #1 as well for the same reason. Let's get those little bastards under control!

Oh right. Just because the poor children are forced to put on the clothes we tell them too, means they'll be easier to control? Riiight. [/heavy sarcasm]
In truth, I think it would make them hate us more. At my high school, they tried to impose a strict dress code on us my junior year - not uniforms, but bad enough to make us furious. So we fought it, fought the administration, and refused to follow their stupid code; eventually they stopped enforcing it. Those bastards... our administration was one hundred percent idiot.
I'm so against the mere idea of uniforms, it isn't even funny. A resounding Option Two from me.

If it was started at a very early age they would never know the difference. The idea is to breed independence out of the children. Only the ruling class and their offspring should have freedom of choice...LOL

Desetland shall also strongly vote for Option Two. School uniforms infuriate me.

Mammothistan caves in to union demands easily. Option 2.

Unions are illegal in my lands.
The people do what they are told because we know what is best for them...

Children will always put themselves into clicks. If you use uniforms, they differentiate themselves via painted nail or doc martins with yellow laces.

I agreed that uniforms are the very embodiment of evil (although it did help disguise my terrible dress sense)...until I left school and no longer had to wear one. Forward with conformity!

can you turn down a beatiful girl in a school uniform? I can't.
I'm for option 1.
