That's what I'm saying. People have to understand that we've got rules and that these rules exist for a reason. The opposition has only anarchy to offer, while we're trying to build a successful region here! The civil code is an important part of this process.

While I agree that adding another office would clutter the appeals process, I do think that citizens of the Pacific should be made more aware of the civil code and their rights; it would do much to silence those who say we are under 'tyrannical' rule. This "reason" is used far too often. Even to suggest that there is any truth to the lies spread by the enemies of the Pacific is mad.

This "reason" is used far too often. Even to suggest that there is any truth to the lies spread by the enemies of the Pacific is mad. Exactly! Our leadership does know what's best for this region. There is no need to create a larger bureaucracy if there is no need for it. Our civil code is quite clear on what kind of behavior is permitted and it is fair. If nations don't like it, well how many other regions are there they can move to? You get my point.

I wasn't saying that, if you thought I was. I know well the lies and wild claims of our enemies.

Still, a problem exists. n00bs don't know the civil code and it takes time to find and read all of this on your own. (Known from personal experience) Membership to the UN is often gained and endorsements are often swapped before anyone has had a chance to read the civil code. Face it... most new nations appear to be created by an under-20 "hey Dude" "k00l" crowd. Those that are not part of this juvenile mindset will likely take the time (like I did) to read the forums and become an active, productive member of the region (like I hope I am).

However, most people who take the taime to gain over 40 endorsements are not simply unknowledgable newbies, the vast majority of the time they are foreign spies.

Even so, Unlimited, don't you think a PSA posted regularly on the HQ board for newbies would be a good idea? It would give them a helping hand in the game.

PSA = Public Service Announcement (the only thing I could think of)?

Well, it could perhaps, although I would hope new nations would read the WFE. I do believe this conversation should be moved to the thread about pacific greeters (this conversation has gone on for a very long time)

I have moved my suggestion to the other thread, as requested.

No one reads WFEs. The vast, vast majority of the region probably doesn't even click on that "The Pacific" link under their nation's name. I know I didn't, when I started the game... it took a telegram to get my attention.

Tar A: If you think we should have a Pacific greeter or regularly posted greeting on the HQ board, join the conversation in the other thread, please.
I find your thoughts and comments refreshing and valuable.
